Alongside our Pararchive Break-out session and Andy’s Bute Calling! walk, members of the Gladstone 2013 Fired-Up! project, Ellie Davies, Pete Roch (of Assorted Records) and Wendy Davies, joined us at the Connected Communities Festival, Cardiff back in July. As a complement to their ‘Cogs in the Machine’ workshop, they screened Gladstone 2013 – Fired up! (2013), which documents the story of the year-long community-led heritage arts project that celebrates the history of the potteries. The film is now available via the AHRC’s Youtube channel, and is well worth a watch:

fantastic film about the history of the potteries and it was nice to see my poem included “pot banks still stand” loved how it was read out running along side film footage of old pott banks made me feel very proud indeed, the music was fantastic as well, but no surprise there as it was composed by the very talented composer Ellie Davies, everybody did a great job, the children, the singers everybody, well done on a fantastic project im just sad i couldn’t make it myself as i was on holiday, again well done to all who was involved
