We’ve been excited to see what our partners at Bokeh Yeah! might come up with when let loose inside the archives at the BBC and other collections. The video above shows what’s possible when an institution becomes remixable.

If a private company like Shutterstock can encourage this kind of innovation, there’s even less an excuse that our publicly-funded cultural institutions need to evolve into cultural platforms from which others can create new works.
